Rock Creek Barlow Road Bank Rehabilitation

The purpose of this project is to reinforce approximately 300 feet of the Rock Creek stream bank and reconstruct approximately 225 feet of roadway on Barlow Road adjacent to the Rock Creek stream bank in Clackamas County, Oregon.

Work involved bypassing of the entire Rock Creek around the work area without negatively impacting native fish and habitat, construction of a 300’ long x approx. 15’ tall geogrid layered wall with vegetated facing and rootwads on the stream bank, a log cribwall approx. 90’ long x 20’ wide, riprap bridge abutment protection, new guardrail and replanting of the riparian area along both sides of Rock Creek within the project limits. Adjacent property is all part of a certified organic dairy and care had to be taken throughout construction to not affect this status.
